Strength Workshop Series with Coach Jamal
We’re excited to announce three upcoming Strength Workshops with BASE Coach Jamal, designed to sharpen your lifting technique, build confidence with the barbell, and help you stay strong for life.
These workshops are ideal if you already have some lifting experience and want to refine your form, prevent injury, and take your training to the next level. They are open to both BASE members and non-members.

Jamal is one of Bangkok’s most respected strength coaches, holding the highly-regarded Professional Barbell Coach (PBC) certification from Barbell Logic — a qualification reserved for only the best barbell coaches worldwide.
Originally from Switzerland, Jamal specializes in barbell lifting, senior fitness, and strength & conditioning. His philosophy centers on safety, simplicity and effectiveness — qualities that have helped clients from their 40s all the way up into their 80s get stronger, healthier, and more confident.

Squat Fundamentals
Date: Saturday 27th September 2025
Time: 11.00am – 12.30pm

Master a reliable squat set‑up you can repeat every session. We’ll run through stance, bracing, depth, and bar position (high‑bar vs low‑bar), fix common knee/hip faults, and show simple adjustments if you’ve had knee or mobility issues.

Deadlift Fundamentals
Date: Saturday 18th October 2025
Time: 11.00am – 12.30pm

Master the deadlift with a simple 5-step process to guarantee the right start position every time. We’ll also look at the most common technique errors and how to adjust if you have a history of back issues.
Numbers are capped to 12 people in this workshop.
