At BASE, we offer pre and post natal personal training.

We have numerous coaches who are qualified and experienced in training both pregnant women and those who have recently given birth.

The whole team at BASE are passionate about helping women develop the strength needed for a healthy pregnancy and birth.

Gale has a great personal story of staying strong and healthy through her pregnancy. Through a sensible and committed approach, Gale recovered quickly from birth and regained her previous levels of fitness. She’s now on a mission to help other women do the same!

prenatal fitness class

Prenatal Class

A strength training class designed to prepare you for the endurance of pregnancy and labor, and to help speed your postpartum recovery.

This program will activate muscles that tend to get weak during pregnancy. Such as your core, pelvic floor, hamstrings and glutes, while help maintain and build your overall strength. Expect to do resistance training at an easy to moderate level and meet other like-minded mums to be.

Most exercises are safe to perform during pregnancy for healthy women, as long as you exercise with caution and listen to your body.

You will be training with Gale Ruttanaphon, an ACE certified trainer and pre and post-natal certified coach as well as a mother.  In this class, Gale will show you exercises that are safe to perform during pregnancy and unsafe exercises to avoid.

Exercise during pregnancy benefits both the mother and the baby. Some of the benefits the mother will experience include increased energy level, improved mood, weight control, decreased chance of pregnancy related illnesses such gestational diabetes, high blood pressure, back pain etc.  When done correctly, exercise during pregnancy will also help to deliver a strong and healthy baby.

The program is opened for all level of pregnancy, the class is designed so that you progress at your own pace and intensity.  This class is pre-booked only and is limited to 8 maximum expecting mums. Please bring your doctor certificate to the first class to verify you have a clearance from your doctor to exercise.

postnatal fitness class

Postnatal Class

A mix of low impact cardio and strength training that will help you recover gently from birth, lose weight safely while you’re breastfeeding (if you choose to do so); furthermore, will strengthen your body for the task of motherhood.

The first six weeks after birth is a time for healing.  Our postnatal program is designed for at least 6 weeks post birth and beyond.  This program is designed to slowly and safely ease you back into your pre-pregnancy exercise routine.

Expect to do exercise at an easy to moderate level to build strength and fitness, and meet other like-minded mummies!

Postnatal exercise will help increase your energy level, lift your mood, allow you to do something good for yourself, and get your body back into shape safely without compromising the supply for your breast milk.  You will be training with Gale Ruttanaphon, an ACE certified trainer and pre and post-natal certified coach as well as a mother.

This program is suitable for recent postnatal mums or any veteran mums who have been away and want to get back into exercise gently. This class is pre-booked only and is limited to 12 postnatal mums.  Please bring your doctor certificate to the first class to verify you have a clearance from your doctor to exercise.
