Message from BASE dated 18th March 2020

Dear friend of BASE,

I hope you are doing well and are staying safe.

After making every effort to stay open and to continue to offer a space to stay healthy and strong during such testing times, we have made the difficult decision to close for 14 days.

This is to comply with the latest government directions to help halt the spread of COVID-19 by temporarily closing all fitness centers in Thailand.

All BASE locations will be closed for business from tomorrow, 18th March until 31st March, 2020.

We hope to open again on 1st April and will keep you updated on all developments.

All sessions booked in will be cancelled and credits returned to your account.

All packages will be extended by 14 days to account for the closure.

If you have any queries about your package or anything else, please let us know and the team will be ready and happy to help.

We are saddened by the developments, but we’re also excited by the thought of recovering quickly and bouncing back stronger.

Stay safe and strong during these times – our thoughts are with you all.

Yours in health,
Jack and the team at BASE

Message from BASE dated 17th March 2020

At BASE, your health and safety is always our number one priority.

We have been closely following the latest Thai government and WHO organization advice to ensure that we’re doing everything we can to keep BASE virus-free.

Our hygiene standards are already very high at BASE and we have recently added air purifiers across all locations which makes it harder for viruses to spread, but we have added in extra measures during this time, such as:

➜ Extra 20 minute break between all classes to allow for extra cleaning
➜ Extra gel dispensers and disinfectant sprays
➜ Self-quarantine measures for clients (see below)
➜ No exercises with high surface contact
➜ Extra deep cleaning each day
➜ No high fives or physical contact with members during this time

You can view our measures in more detail in our recent email sent to all members.

The restrictions detailed below have been carefully considered to keep BASE a safe and clean place. If any of these restrictions apply to you then we are very happy to freeze your package at no cost to you and for as long as you need.

If you simply feel uncomfortable to train at this time we are very happy to freeze your package – simply email us at [email protected]

To help us keep BASE and Thailand safe, please follow these guidelines:

➜ In line with the latest advice, please do not train at BASE if you have been to any of these countries in the last 14 days (list provided by the Thai government): South Korea, Italy, Iran, China, (including Hong Kong and Macau), France, Spain, USA, Switzerland, Norway, Japan, Denmark, Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, UK

This list is subject to sudden changes. If you have come abroad from any country, please let us know before you train at BASE.

Our staff are also subject to the same restrictions. It is advised that you self-quarantine at home and seek immediate medical attention if you suffer from any flu-like symptoms.

➜ Do not come to BASE if you are under directions to quarantine due to:
— Travel quarantine directions (as above)
— Being in close contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or is a person under investigation (PUI)

➜ Do not come to BASE if you are feeling unwell and showing any flu-like symptoms, however small. Please contact the relevant health authorities immediately and refrain from training at BASE. Anyone showing any symptoms will not be permitted to train at BASE. If you are feeling unwell please email us and we will waive any late cancellation fee, if applicable, for your session and put your package on hold.

➜ Use our gel provided throughout the studio, take our free workout towels and put them in the bins provided after use.

➜ Follow the basic hygiene measures outlined below:
